Rainwater Harvesting Systems
Rainwater harvesting systems offer a renewable energy solution to capture rainwater for greywater use such as flushing toilets, laundering clothes, irrigation and vehicle cleaning.
Rainwater from the roofs of the on-site buildings is collected and stored in a tank from where it is distributed to the greywater outlets from where it is then distributed to greywater water outlets through conventional pipework.
The stored rainwater can also be used for continued irrigation during periods of drought.
With greywater being a significant proportion of a buildings water use, a rainwater harvesting system can significantly reduce the cost and amount of carbon emissions that would otherwise be created by water treatment plants treating and transporting the water back to you as clean water.
