Air Source Heat Pumps

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP’s) offer an energy efficient solution to provide heating and hot water to your domestic or commercial building.

Using the low temperature air around them to start a vapor-compression refrigeration process they are typically able to generate four to five times the amount of thermal output energy (heat), compared to the amount of electrical input energy required to run them.

This is considerably more efficient than using a fossil fuel appliance such as a gas, oil or LPG boiler which at best will generate less thermal output energy than the energy required for the combustion process to burn the gas, oil or LPG to turn it into heat. ASHP’s therefore significantly reduce the amount of carbon emissions to generate heat.

The heat generated from air ASHP’s is distributed throughout the building through conventional methods such as underfloor heating, radiators and fan convectors. The heat generated can also be used to provide hot water through conventional hot water cylinders.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP’s) offer an energy efficient solution to provide heating and hot water to your domestic or commercial building.

Collecting low temperature from the ground to start a vapor-compression refrigeration process they are typically able to generate four to six times the amount of thermal output energy (heat), compared to the amount of electrical input energy required to run them.

This is considerably more efficient than using a fossil fuel appliance such as a gas, oil or LPG boiler which at best will generate less thermal output energy than the energy required for the combustion process to burn the gas, oil or LPG to turn it into heat. GSHP’s therefore significantly reduce the amount of carbon emissions to generate heat.

The heat generated from air GSHP’s is distributed throughout the building through conventional methods such as underfloor heating, radiators and fan convectors. The heat generated can also be used to provide hot water through conventional hot water cylinders.

Solar Thermal Panels

Solar thermal panels offer an entirely renewable energy solution to harness solar energy to heat hot water for use in your domestic or commercial building.

Absorbing the Sun’s radiation, in the form of sunlight, the heat captured is transferred into hot water cylinders from where it is then distributed to hot water outlets through conventional pipework.

Solar thermal panels can typically generate 50% of the annual hot water demand of a building significantly reducing the amount of carbon emissions that would otherwise be created to generate the heat.

Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery

Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR) offers a renewable energy solution to capture the heat from domestic or commercial buildings that would otherwise be transferred to the outside air as a result of the ventilation changes a building requires to maintain hygienic conditions.

Heat from the stail air captured and transferred via a heat exchanger to the fresh incoming air pre-heating it before it enters the rooms.

MVHR systems can typically capture 90% of the heat from the stail air that would otherwise be lost into the environment and have to be regenerated to keep the building warm.

With ventilation heat losses typically accounting for 50% of a buildings heating demand, a MVHR system can significantly reduce the cost and amount of carbon emissions that would otherwise be created to generate the regenerate the heat.
